It was a dinosaur who brought us the egg!
Now we are going to learn as much as we can about dinosaurs. We even used our wet play to watch ‘The dinosaur train’ which tells us lots about dinosaurs.

We have been busy learning lots in our maths lessons today.
Reception children have been practising their subtraction skills by playing a game involving hunting for objects and taking some away.
Year 1 children have been developing their addition skills by using ‘grab mats’ to construct number sentences.
We always have great fun whilst learning lots!
Last week we made bread just like the Little Red Hen 🍞 We followed the instructions carefully and worked together to mix the ingredients, kneed the dough and shape it into rolls.
Today we sequenced pictures to show the instructions that we followed.

Today we started our new book, ‘The Little Red Hen’. After reading the story, we looked at different types of bread.
We enjoyed tasting the different types of bread and we thought of lots of different adjectives.

Today reception children sorted coins into different groups. We had groups based on colour, size and value. Lots of great maths language has been used such as “penny, 2p, 20p, coin, money”.
